Spotlight:

Gary 'Dolbex' Williams
Name: Gary Williams

Email: gary@halo50k.com

Moniker: Dolbex

Sex: M

Country of Residence: USA

Favorite Games: Hmmm... Halo! :) I also like to pick up a game of BF1942 here and there. I think killing Nazi's on a regular basis keeps one's head clear. However, I wouldnít be into games today if it werenít for games like UT and Golden Eye.

Gaming Roles: Well, I host a variety of LAN parties ranging from very small, nine teams or so, to fairly large, 40 teams. At our last Halo50k tournament we handed out around $9,000 in cash and prizes with the first place team taking home $7,000. Seeing all those screens glowing is pretty exciting for me.

Gaming Rig(s): My roommates and I have several Xbox's and CAT-5 running all over the house ready for people to duke it out in Halo. PC-wise I'm on a 2.4 GHz P4/GF4MX/512 RAM and a 19" Trinitron.

Gaming Groups / Squads / Clans: I play with a racket known as "Been Mawed"... bunch of losers really...

Favorite Sites: The day isnít complete without a visit to halo.bungie.org, CNN.com, bungie.net, or www.homestarrunner.com.

Hobbies / Activities: Web Design at this point I guess can be considered a hobby. (I'm not really making any money at it anyway!) It's about the only profession that has held my attention for more than 5 minutes. I do a lot of travel in Europe and around the States. I think getting away from everything digital is important here and there.

Accomplishments / Achievements: Hmmm.. thatís a toughy.

I obtained my Eagle Scout when I was 17... I walked a lot of old ladies across the street and it made me the leader I am today. ;)

After high school I got three jobs working about 70 hours a week and saved my ass off for 6 months so that I could go to Europe. My best friend and I traveled for 4 months and I had the pleasure of going to 15 different countries. Some crazy kids over there and it was some of the best times of my life... I learned a lot.

Got anything else to say? Hmmm.. not really. :)
