The minigun looks to be an autocannon's baby brother: a handheld Gatling Gun-style weapon, capable of sending out massive amounts of lead in seconds. However, like its larger relatives, it is not likely to do much against a shielded Herc. Below you will find the high-res version of the (then) mini-chaingun that will be used in movies and cutscenes. The lower-res version (featured above) will be used in-game.

The concept and modeling for the lower-res version were done by Chemeleon, and the skinning was done by Koenig.
