Purdue has built a Quantum-computing semiconductor. It is only a 1-qubit device, but it successfully operates near room temperature (or at least nearer than it traditionally has). It's a process that uses existing fabrication technology, but it is theoretically capable of doing everything a modern computer does - one hitch though. They'll have to build one of these devices for each operation a computer performs. That sucks. It's coming, though. Sooner than you may think!
