This is cool... I'm going to talk to my boss about the fasability of using it.
Proxim, Inc. has just released a IEEE 802.11a compliant wireless networking system that operates 5-10 times faster than 802.11b-based systems. At the ISP I work for, we are currently in the process of rolling out a 802.11b wireless broadband solution to the community, and we have long-range plans to extend throughout the rest of the state. (We would largely have no competition since we are the only provider in the area who offers wireless.) But something as fast as 54MBPS is something I would DEFINITELY go for. 802.11a 0wnz a11.
