Name: Eli McClanahan

Moniker: Plague, Desecration, Reklaw, Genkin, Damien, Cygnus

Sex: Male

Country of Residence: USA

Education: I'm planning on returning to college late this year, now that I'm not horrendously poor.

How would we know you: I'm the guy that draws fan concept art for 2845, but isn't actually on the staff, then complains at the concept art that does come from the staff. I.E., I'm a fairly talented jerk; that stems from my desire to see things I enjoy be the best they can be though. I typically won't even deal with something unless I find it interesting, which is mainly why I draw so much Starsiege-related material. I'm also really lazy with my art; I don't care if the things I draw have little unnoticeable flaws or aren't painted as gorgeous works of art.

Favourite Games: I don't really have favorite games perse, since I play so many and move in between them so often. My "favorite" games, in the sense that I played them a lot, were Starsiege and Final Fantasy VII, mainly because those were the first "real" games I played. Before then, I mainly just screwed around playing old ASCII games from the 1980s and such, along with those "500 games in one!" CDs that were so popular. But really, my favorite games are the ones that are free and don't require me to look around for a CD.

Gaming Roles: Well, since I'm on dial up, 21.6k with a true speed of about 16.8K, I don't play multiplayer games all that much. Back a few years, when games were made for modems, I would play a tactical leader role, since I don't trust other online players to have any sense on their own. I enjoy seeing my plans work out, especially in hard to win scenerios. I hate to lose, or even win by a slim margin - I like to totally decimate my opponent. Even offline, I'm a completist: I complete all objectives, destroy every enemy, etc. If a game offers it, I like playing a stealth role instead, but only if I can totally avoid the enemy to the point that I never had to kill anyone to win.

Gaming Rig(s): I have all three major consoles, although I'll always prefer my PC: AMD Athalon XP 3200+ 2.2GHz, 512 MB RAM, 128 MB Radeon 9800 Pro, 180 GB HDD

Gaming Groups / Squads / Clans: I don't like squads, manily because most don't share my desire to totally annihilate everyone. When I first got into my first squads, I realized fairly quickly that during practices, nothing ever gets done because no one will shut up, and during combat, plans never work because no one wants to follow them.

Favourite Sites: SS:2845's site and forums, of course. I frequent Tribal War, although it's not like it's one of my favorite places. I visit a lot of webcomic sites, including Sinfest, PennyArcade, VG Cats, Sore Thumbs, etc.

Favourite Book: I don't have a favorite book, but I do have a favorite series of books... well, two of them, but by the same author. I've always loved the Chronicles of Narnia and the Space Trilogy, both series by C.S. Lewis. In particular, "The Last Battle" and "Perelandra."

Favourite Movie: I've always been fond of artful movies that have specialized themes, like Field of Dreams, Phone Booth or Misery. I also sometimes end up liking movies for reasons I don't understand, like the movie Tremors. Something about that movie always appealed to me. Although, my all-time favorite movie would probably have to be The Thing, from John Carpenter.

Hobbies / Activities / Interests: I draw, play games, watch a lot of cartoons, make maps that no one plays on, and dabble in philosophy and have a vague interest in theoretical physics.

Accomplishments / Achievements: I don't really have any accomplishments perse. I haven't done anything important. Uh... I got a 99 percentile on my ASVAB in high school and got harassed by the military for a while to move to Maryland to study to be a nuclear physicist. I guess that's something.

Blurb: Something I've always believed is that, a life lived in total devotion to having fun and being happy is a worthless life. People that cringe at the idea of trying to understand simple philosophies or the meaning of life annoy me... a lot. Also, people that use "lol" all the time in their messages because they can't think of anything useful to say. No one laughs out loud while they're typing their own forum messages, no. Poor language skills drawing service from an online dialect to take the place of properly communicated thoughts, I suppose. But I still hate it. Perhaps I should use this blurb to say something inspiring, but I'd rather point fingers. Oh, and yay tJY. I wouldn't have a decent site without them.
