Over the last 15 weeks, tJY has been running a series on the realism in Halo, thanks to the venerable Captain Roy Luthan and our Halo Intern, skseifer. We have taken a look at each level in Halo, step-by-step and in turn asked the Captain what a real US marine would have done in the Master Chief's place. This series is just one of the many, many examples of how involved in the game the fans of Halo can get. None of this would have been possible had it not been for the creators of game, yes, we mean Bungie. Bungie has given us so much, I think it's time we give something back to them, poetry-style.

There have been countless numbers of contests focusing on the game and its many intracacies, but, not many focusing on the folks behind the game. On that note, I would like to announce tJY's "Write a Poem for Bungie Contest"! Now I know what you're thinking, "Poetry? Ugh!" But, bear with me for a second -- poetry doesn't have to suck, not when you're writing about Bungie, Halo and Halo 2!

Details, Details, Details
We want you to write a poem to Bungie. A tribute to all of their hard work on Halo and Halo 2. Your poem doesn't have to long, it could even be something as simple as this:

Roses are red,
Voilets are blue.
I love Bungie,
And I play Halo 2.
Please bear in mind, that none of us here at tJY are poets. We're looking for creativity over complexity here, but if you create something with a little flare, surely, we wouldn't care ;).

Please register on our forums (if you haven't already done so) so that we can keep track of all participants. Be sure to include valid contact information, as if you win, we will contact you based on those records.

We are going to try to get Bungie to help us with the judging process, but failing that, poems will be judged by the 'Yard Staff.
