Some slightly more definitive specs have been leaked form China for the XBox 2 (Xenon). Note that these specs are not final and are unconfirmed and subject to change. But here's what we expect:

  • Three (3) 3.5GHz CPUs (unspecified architecture)
  • 500MHz GPU with 10MB of video RAM
  • 256+MB system RAM
  • possibility of a built-in hard drive.

Here's my speculation: The three CPUs in the diagram look suspiciously like Pentium 4 CPU. Don't be surprised if that's what they are and not the G5s everyone has been hoping for. (I say this because G5s haven't been released above 2.5GHz yet, and because the L1 and L2 cache listed is similar to a Xeon processor.) Additionally, the block diagram suggests that the "20-80GB hard drive" is undecided.

I'm nust say I'm intrigued by the graphics subsystem. It's architecture is similar to an ATi graphics processor, but I can't tell what kind of architecture it is.
