Pilotless HERCs

Although previously mentioned some nine months ago on the Starsiege:2845 forums, the question of having pilots in see through cockpits has risen up again. Vailias was first to shoot the idea down with a less than definitive answer, but soon there-after, Roy_Fokker confirmed that pilots will not be visible (or at all present) in the cockpits of HERCs in SS:2845. The devs are using a utilitarian approach to the development of this MOD, where they are trying to make it playable by the greatest number of PCs out there. In UT2004, the Adjudicator is running about 6000 polygons and Vailias mentions that if you add pilots with see-through cockpits into the mix, you're easily pumping that count up a few thousand. Thus, to keep the game playable, such things have to be cut. Sorry guys (I was looking to visible pilots too).
