Hands Off the Update

For those of you looking at this Friday's Halo 2 Update at the Penny Arcade Forums, you may have noticed a few ill-tempered folks in the remainder of the forum thread. This front-page post by Gabe seems to indicate that the forum itself is not the ideal place to host the weekly update.

As of now, the link on the Bungie.net homepage points to a login dialog; this has never been the case with an update requiring registration before. In the event that it was some overzealous moderator closing the thread early, I've opted to make our cached version of the Update available one day earlier than usual. Here's hoping the PA folks can get this sorted out; in the meantime, if you haven't caught the update, go ahead and read it (and optionally view the Mister Chief art, which Frankie admits is quite poor this week.)
