TXB Reports: Halo 2 European Box Art Revealed

News today from HBO and TeamXbox: Microsoft has released the Halo 2 European box art and it's quite the site. There's also a higher resolution image (1314x1866); the box does carry the Xbox Live Online Enabled banmner, but since the back of the case is not visible, there's no telling what Xbox Live functions are definitely in the game.

The game also carries a rating of "16+", and a link to a European ratings site (Pan European Games Information) is provided below. What's interesting is that this rating is based on a voluntary system, based on publishers' responses to certain questions. However, this rating would have been officially checked before it was granted. For what it's worth, Bungie would have rated the game using a similar form to the Word documents available on this information page. (Also notable is the fact that Halo: Combat Evolved received a 16+ and Violence descriptor for most countries, except Finland where it received a 15+ age category.)

(Personally I think that this European version completely trumps any rating system I've seen in North America for honesty and accuracy. As someone typically against ratings systems, this 16+ isn't too bad of a guideline for Halo.)
