IGN Previews T:V

The folks over at pc.ign.com have put up a hands-on preview of Tribes:Vengeance. The preview takes you through the reviewer's experience of the current single player bulid as Princess Victoria and later as Princess Julia. Here's the obligatory snippet:

At this stage, the outdoor missions and graphical environment there feel very polished. The character models also look pretty good, and the voice acting is professional. Although the textures on the indoor missions are still a little rough and the geometry a little basic, you could tell it was still a work in progress. The spaceship takes heavy damage during this segment, and many objects simply sunk into the ground instead of getting scripted destruction animation. Vengeance ain't a budget game, so you can rest assured that this is just placeholder stuff. The single player campaign as a whole may not bowl you over, but it's looking quite respectable at this stage--we're looking forward to seeing the finished product.
