The SS:2845 website has recieved a pretty large overhaul. Check it out, here. Be sure to check out the right hand column for some new dev journals. They are a completely new addition. Hopefully the devs will find time to update them at least once every two weeks or more.

As a reminder, the devs for SS:2845 are always accepting new applications, particulary now with the move to Torque. If you feel your talents could in anyway help the team (from website junkies to artists), click here.

What they have an especial need for:

Scripters/Coders
Seeking dedicated C++ programmers to play key roles in the development of this MOD. Excellent C++ skills are essential, as is experience in graphics programming (ideally OpenGL/DirectX). A keen interest in games is essential and a good understanding of Internet application design and the online gaming space is highly beneficial. Should be well versed in object oriented programming (OOP) routines. Previous experience working with the Torque engine is a huge plus.

Scripting candidates should have previous experience in working with the Torque engine. Examples of previous work is requested.

Skinners
Skinning of vehicles, avatars, buildings, terrain generation.
Experience with graphics design packages, preferably Photoshop but Corel is acceptable also. Should have the ability to emulate different styles if needed. Ability to UV unwrap models is a big plus. Samples of previous work requested.

Animators
Animation of 3d models of vehicles, weapons, infantry units, buildings, and various structural and terrain elements. Experience with animation in 3ds Max. Candidates will be asked to provide a demo/portfolio.

Human Character Modeler (Hi poly)
Looking for someone experienced with hi poly modeling of human facial features that will be animated for cutscenes. Experience with 3ds MAX, Maya, Lightwave, or comparable programs. Ability to model from concepts. Samples of previous work requested. Animation skills a huge plus.

Graphic Artists
We have an immediate need for competent artists to help us prepare rough conceptual illustrations, package design concepts, and general advertising for this MOD. Should be able to draw various styles in black and white and color, either traditionally or electronically, and must be able to draw people. Ideally, final art would be delivered in Photoshop format.The artist should feel comfortable exploring a given concept while drawing various environments, vehicle designs, human forms and expressions, etc. Storyboarding experience is a big plus. Send us some samples of your work for review. Your relevancy for this job will be gauged on the quality of what you send, so send the good stuff.
