It would be hard to argue against the case of increased image quality and colour vibrancy when using component Monster Cables for the Xbox. Many people, including Dan Chosich of 2070 Wired Films and Java Man, one of our Halo Interns, have made the switch from Microsoft's HD pack to Monster Cables – a switch that I can't afford to make at this time, heh. In either event, after the Big Three released their Next Gen console blurbs, Dan fired off an email to Monster Cable to see whether they would be supplying DVI or HDMI cables for the upcoming consoles. A PR employee replied back with:

"[a]t this time, there are no plans for HDMI or DVI cables for these game consoles".
It's too early to start throwing a hissy fit about the decision; keep in mind that, it took a while for the Monster Cable component cables to appear for the Xbox, too. Still, food for thought.
