Spotted this story over at Xbox 360 Hacker.net. Apparently, some kid [with no idea what an NDA is] got a hold of his step dad's 360 development kit and decided to give it a whir. The fun didn't stop there though. The kid started ranting and raving on a number of gaming forums about his alleged 360 but went one step further – and provided pictures of him and his new 'box.

Aside from the hilarity of some kid maybe most likely costing his step dad his job, what caught my eye in particular is the Halo 2 load screen in one of the shots. The first weary step towards backwards compatibility has been taken with a "top selling Xbox game". Also interesting is a note regarding an enormous external power supply and a new swank dashboard.

Way to go, kid.

Update July 22: Robert Scoble of Microsoft notes that the images are real - and the employee in charge of the unit still has his job.
