More on Legions

From the TribalWar thread below, I've culled a few interesting snippets for your perusal:

• Legions was originally planned to be a full-fledged game, as opposed to just a tech demo (as shown at GDC); however, the GG crew received an offer from Microsoft to develop a game for the Xbox 360 Arcade. Accordingly, the idea "was shelved" because the offer from MS was much more attractive, on a number of fronts.
• Therefore: Legions will be a community-developed game, similar to what Realm Wars is... was
• Legions is being developed on the TSE, and all source code will be made available to the community
• Neat weapon art
• Shooting for RC1 for TSE for the end of the Summer
• Skiing is modeled off of Tribes 1 style
• The TSE is being developed on the PC and the 360 -- and they can communicate with each other. I see some pretty cool developments coming out of this ability.
• Legions is being developed for the love of the Tribes community, GG won't be making any money off of it
