Surfing the Internet this afternoon, I was surprised to notice that halo.bungie.org mentioned that a fake Halo 2 Update had been posted on the IGN Forums. Generally, although the Halo 2 Updates do arrive on Fridays, they'll often be public later in the evening.

I've obtained the text of the update from op_ivy on the HBO Forums and mirrored it at The Junkyard for posterity. Although this one's certainly not true, it'll be interesting to check if any of these fan-made predictions are true once the game releases.

Unlike what you'd expect, this article was well-written enough to initially fool a few people, much like the frequently-mentioned Linkin Park article a few months back. The moral of the story? Be careful of what you read on the Internet.
