Spotted over at PlanetTribes, it appears as though the Tribes 1 Master Servers are down but fear not, the community has a fix! An alternate Master Server is online at alpha.primehosting.us:28000, courtesy of ZedRWX. From PTT:

In order to use this master server, in Tribes, go to Options>>Network and click on the Add button to add the new master server. Just copy and paste alpha.primehosting.us:28000 as the address.
If you're running a server, you will need to add the aforementioned entry to your ServerPrefs.cs file; conveniently, one has been prepared for you and is available right here. Happy fraggin'!
